Christopher Albrecht

Christopher Albrecht

Chief Executive Officer

Christopher Albrecht is the Chief Executive Officer of Sun Life Singapore.  He is responsible for leading the strategic and operational aspects of the Sun Life Singapore business.

Christopher has over 25 years of experience, having held senior roles across various global organisations in the region, including HSBC Insurance (Singapore), Old Mutual International, Swiss Life and 1291 Group (Hong Kong). Having worked in the High Net Worth banking, insurance and brokerage sectors, Christopher is able to offer unique perspectives from each of these areas. Originally from the United Kingdom, Christopher moved to Singapore in 2005. He later relocated to Hong Kong in 2017, further expanding his understanding of the Asian insurance landscape.

Shien Wei Lim

Shien Wei Lim

Head of Legal

Shien Wei is the Head of Legal of Sun Life Singapore. She is responsible for all legal matters for Sun Life Singapore and provides legal support for new business opportunities in Singapore. Shien Wei started her career in law firms as a lawyer specialising in corporate work and corporate governance. Shien Wei thereafter moved in-house to several insurers and has since worked as insurance in-house counsel with progressive senior leadership experience.

Shien Wei is admitted and enrolled as an Advocate & Solicitor of High Court of Malaya in Malaysia and obtained her Master of Laws from the National University of Singapore and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Reading, United Kingdom.

Dr. Mohammed Dalvi

Dr. Mohammed Dalvi

Chief Underwriter

Dr. Mohammed Dalvi is the Chief Underwriter of Sun Life Singapore. With 20 years of experience in the insurance industry in Asia, Dr. Dalvi is responsible for overseeing the overall underwriting operations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and good market practice.

Dr. Dalvi brings with him an expertise in underwriting for HNW clients. He started his career as a medical officer in Mumbai. After gaining medical work experience, he joined the insurance industry as an underwriting manager and subsequently tenured in several multi-national insurance and reinsurance companies. Before joining Sun Life Singapore, Dr. Dalvi served as Head of High Net Worth and Retail Underwriting, Head of Claims at HSBC Life in Singapore. Prior to this, he was at Manulife Singapore, where he last held the position of Head of High Net Worth Underwriting. 

Dr. Dalvi holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S) from J.J.M. Medical College in India and professional certificates from Academy of Life Underwriting and LOMA. He enjoys watching soccer and Formula 1 racing.

Patrick Ryan

Patrick Ryan

Head of Operations

Patrick Ryan is the Head of Operations of Sun Life Singapore. He is responsible for working with our Distributors to create Client for Life solutions during the new business onboarding and in-force policy servicing processes.

Patrick has over 25 years of experience in the life insurance industry, including 15 years supporting High Net Worth Clients in Hong Kong, Singapore and offshore international markets. His vast and diverse set of experience includes marketing, business systems analysis, claims administration and operations. Prior to his appointment to Sun Life Singapore, he served as Director of New Business and Administration Operations for Sun Life Bermuda’s International Life business.

Patrick holds a Bachelor degree in Business with emphasis in Finance and Accounting, a Master of Information Systems Management degree, and several designations from the Life Office Management Association including his FLMI.

Bruno Pinson

Bruno Pinson

Chief Actuary and Head of Risk Management

Bruno Pinson is the Chief Actuary and Head of Risk Management. Bruno is responsible for overseeing the Actuarial and Risk functions at Sun Life Singapore.

Bruno has over 20 years of experience in the life insurance industry, including 15 years in Asia in AXA and HSBC with leadership roles in Actuarial, Risk Management, Finance, Investment and Asset Liability Management.

Bruno is a Fellow of the French Institute of Actuaries, Fellow of the Singapore Actuarial Society (FSAS), CFA charterholder and Chartered Enterprise Risk Analyst (CERA).

Jean-Luc Creppy

Head of IT

Jean-Luc Creppy is the  Chief Information Officer for Sun Life Singapore, where he leads the company's digital transformation efforts in the Singapore market.

With over 25 years of experience in Asia, Jean-Luc has successfully managed complex global IT projects, particularly within the insurance and bancassurance sectors. His expertise has consistently driven organisations to achieve significant improvements and reach their goals. Known for his innovative thinking, energetic leadership, and reliable problem-solving abilities, Jean-Luc excels at bridging the gap between business and technology.

Jean-Luc holds a Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Artificial intelligence, along with various diplomas and qualifications in Project Management, IT, and Change Management.

Lai Hwee Chen

Lai Hwee Chen

Head of Finance

Hwee Chen is the Head of Finance in Sun Life Singapore. She is responsible for the financial aspects of the business, reporting and controllership functions. Prior to joining Sun Life Singapore, she held leadership roles in various direct life and general insurers. Aside from insurance, her experience also spans across the IT, media and healthcare industries, covering regional role and group consolidation.

Outside the realm of accounting, she is an avid lover of nature who also enjoys a good read and playing duets with her daughter.

David Ting

David Ting

Chief Compliance Officer

Before joining Sun Life, David was the Chief Risk & Compliance Officer of China Life Insurance Singapore Pte. Ltd. As the Chief Compliance Officer of Sun Life Singapore, he is responsible for the Compliance function in Singapore, as well as the liaison with the Monetary Authority of Singapore and Life Insurance Association of Singapore.  David has extensive experience in the Singapore life insurance industry having worked for various local and international insurers.

David holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Australia. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting and Finance), and various diploma and qualifications in the field of Insurance, Risk and Compliance. 

Siva Machap

Head of Human Resources

Siva is a strategic partner to the CEO in Singapore and is responsible for aligning all aspects of the organisation's human capital strategy with its overall business objectives. Driving our growth strategy, he spearheads workforce planning, organizational development and design, culture transformation, talent management, employee engagement and HR Technology strategies..

A HR professional in the Singapore Insurance Industry for over 15 years, Siva has been a trusted partner for MNC based C-Suite and commercial leaders, deploying business centric HR policies, processes and initiatives. He has led numerous HR functions for local and regional businesses, amassing end to end experience in the conceptualization and execution of core HR practices that are progressive, and in keeping up with local regulations.   

Siva has a Master’s degree in mass communication from Oklahoma City University as well as a Bachelor’s degree with honours from the University of London. He is also a certified coach from the Institute of Coaching Federation.

Gina serves as the Head of Distribution at Sun Life Singapore, where she spearheads growth initiatives across multiple distribution channels. Her role is pivotal in fostering robust relationships with distribution partners and key stakeholders, driving the company's expansion and market presence.

With over 15 years of experience in the life insurance industry, Gina brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her position. She has dedicated more than a decade to the High Net Worth (HNW) segment, collaborating closely with International Broker partners to deliver exceptional value and service.

Prior to joining Sun Life Singapore, Gina held a strategic position as the Section Head of Business Development for the HNW International Brokers channel at China Taiping Insurance, where she played a crucial role in establishing and expanding the HNW business.  Previously, at Manulife Singapore, she successfully transformed the International Brokers channel into a thriving partnership.

At Sun Life Singapore, she continues to drive innovation, align distribution strategies with market dynamics and client needs. 

Lena Lin

Head of Marketing, CX, Communications & Sponsorships

Lena Lin serves as the Head of Marketing, Client Experience (CX), Communications and Sponsorships at Sun Life Singapore. In this multifaceted role, she spearheads the company's strategic initiatives and execution across Branding, Marketing, CX, Media and Client/Broker Communications, Philanthropy, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

With more than two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Lena brings a wealth of knowledge from her tenure at global banking giants such as J.P. Morgan, Bank of Singapore, and UBS. Her expertise spans Private Banking and Wealth Management, where she has consistently held leadership positions in Marketing and Communications.

Lena's deep understanding of High Net Worth (HNW), Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW), and Family Office / Independent Asset Management segments allows her to seamlessly adapt consumer-led marketing strategies to both B2C and B2B environments. She excels in developing comprehensive strategies across digital, social, and traditional platforms, including events and sponsorships, driving results in an ever-evolving business landscape.

Lena holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and a Master of Business Administration from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

At Sun Life Singapore, Lena continues to leverage her extensive experience and education to drive marketing excellence, enhance client experiences, and strengthen the company's brand and position in the market.
