Helping families build healthier habits to reduce diabetes risk
Across Singapore, Type 2 diabetes continues to affect many communities, particularly families who may face barriers to health education and preventive care.
Through our sponsorship of the Sugar Smart Families Programme, we support a community-led approach that helps families better understand their health and take practical steps to improve it. The programme is designed to meet people where they are, creating a supportive space for families to learn, share experiences, and take action together.
Participants are guided through simple, everyday changes such as making healthier food choices and building more active routines. Through workshops, peer support, and ongoing engagement, families gain practical knowledge and build the confidence to develop lasting habits. The focus is on steady, achievable progress, helping each family take meaningful improvements over time.
When families have access to the right tools and community support, they are better equipped to build healthier futures for themselves and for the next generation.
